Tara M. Roberts is a Miami native and a distinguished legal professional. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Florida State University in 2014, earning a Bachelor of Arts in English and Communications. Driven by her passion for law, she continued her education at the Florida State University College of Law, where she obtained her Juris Doctorate in 2017.
While in law school, Tara demonstrated her commitment to the legal field by serving as a Certified Legal Intern at the State Attorney's Office in Tallahassee. There, she collaborated closely with prosecutors in the Juvenile division, gaining hands-on experience in motion practice and bench trials. Her dedication and skillful advocacy led her to become an Assistant State Attorney at the esteemed Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office upon graduation.
In her role as an Assistant State Attorney, Tara gained extensive experience prosecuting a diverse array of criminal cases, ranging from misdemeanors to serious felonies. Her caseload included DUI offenses, theft, burglary, aggravated battery, and more. Tara’s exemplary courtroom performance and successful jury trial outcomes have established her as a respected member of the legal community.
After refining her prosecutorial skills, Tara transitioned to the private sector, joining a well-known workers' compensation defense firm in Miami. For nearly three years, she represented insurance carriers, self-insured employers, and third-party administrators, demonstrating her proficiency in this specialized area of law.
Currently, Tara practices both personal injury and workers' compensation law at Wolfson & Leon. Her unique background as a former prosecutor and insurance defense attorney positions her as a knowledgeable and tenacious advocate for her clients.
